| Gary Garrison - Senior Purchaser
Gary was building seats for Chrysler mini-vans in St. Louis when a friend asked him if he wanted to “run some lights for a band…it only pays beer”. Seeing this as an opportunity (after all, it was free beer) he began running lights at night in a local bar with 8 paint cans painted black with 100watt light bulbs and 4 light switches. After moving up to a real 48 PAR can show in clubs, a local audio and lighting company asked if he was interested in going on the road.
Doing the “State Fair” circuit around the US led to being asked to tour with several country and rock acts as an electrician and LD.
By 1992 he settled in Orlando, FL and began working with BASH Lighting Services, landing in the sales and purchasing department.
In 1997, BASH was sold to PRG and Gary worked one year in the purchasing department before leaving to start the first online retail lighting store, The Stockroom. After achieving mild success, the company closed after 5 years.
Joining Christie Lites in 2003, Gary currently works as the Senior Buyer in the Rentals Division and continues to do shows and benefits around the Southeast including a weekly stint as the Lighting Director for a large church in Orlando.
