| David Lloyd - VP Technical
David began his career in live entertainment more than 30 years ago. While working on his Commerce degree at the University of British Columbia he played drums in rock bands and educated himself on the technical side of the business.
His first lighting gig was over 25 years ago at Vancouver's infamous Cave Nightclub where he was the house sound and lighting operator. This led to David being lured to the dark side of the entertainment business & audio. He owned and operated Innovative Audio for 20 years, during which time he also worked as an audio engineer in and around Vancouver and in the Vancouver Civic Theatres. Some of his favourite audio gigs include Expo Theatre in 1986 where he was the house monitor engineer for the run of the Exposition, monitor engineer for the Papal visit to Vancouver and wireless microphone technician for the Vancouver runs of Les Miserables, Cats and The Phantom of the Opera.
In 1992 he entered into a partnership with Huntly Christie and Ken Alexander to open Christie Lites Vancouver. After 10 years as a partner he sold his ownership interest in the Vancouver shop and accepted the position of National Technical Manager for the Christie Lites organization.
In his spare time David enjoys playing drums and bass, coaching hockey and recording music in his home studio with his two children while his wife plugs her ears.
