Backup Tech
Backup Tech (The Technical Entertainment Charity) is the UK’s registered charity that provides financial support to industry technical professionals, crew/production personnel and people working in the technical supply chain across the UK entertainment industry specifically live events, music touring theatre and broadcast.
Backup Tech offers Mental Health counselling, and their
primary and long running remit is to support those who are seriously ill or injured or their surviving family members via a tailored Support Grant and this has always included support for mental health counselling. Over the years, we have been able to help many of our industry colleagues with the wellbeing support that they have needed.
Medical grants are also available
, which may be used for basic living expenses such as rent or mortgage, property taxes, utilities, insurance and transportation. They may be used for all types of medical expenses including health insurance, doctor and hospital bills, medication, physical therapy, mental health and wellbeing support, home health care, crutches or wheelchairs.
They also offer hardship funds, which are tailored to help people who find themselves in financial difficulty, with short-term financial support.

The Roadie Clinic
The Roadie Clinic is an advocacy group committed to providing a safe space for roadies and their families to heal while off the road, and to advocate for - and empower them to obtain - a healthy work environment while on the road. Acting as a hub for nonprofits in the touring industry, TRC has mined the services of those groups, puts them in play when necessary, and takes care of roadies, their families and independent musicians utilizing whatever service fits the need.
